What does an evaluation look like? Each evaluation is different depending on your personal needs, but all do follow the below general outline: It is a thorough, compassionate, 90-minute assessment and goal planning session. The evaluation will allow you time to share your you: your story, your concerns, your interests, your fears, your goals. We will discuss your roles and routines, both previous, current, and desired, observe your breath and movement patterns, and how you go about your day. We can assess your functional mobility, posture, and any pain you are having. We may provide screening for mental health, sensory profile, or others, as needed. An internal exam (if appropriate) to assess deeper muscular function is also an option, but is at your discretion, and consent is always ongoing and respected. We will talk about what brings you joy, what is meaningful to you, and from there, work with you to determine the best plan for achieving your goals. Everything about the evaluation is both comprehensive and fluid, allowing for as organic information-gathering.
